This NASA video introduces Sapphire Canyon, the 25th Martian sample collected by the Perseverance rover. Drilled from the vein-filled rock nicknamed Cheyava Falls in Jezero Crater’s Bright Angel formation, the arrowhead-shaped rock contains features that may help answer whether Mars once supported microscopic life.
