Sandra Koerte

Born and raised on the island of Kauai, Hawaii, Sandra is no stranger to the stunning night sky. From a young age, she was captivated by the mysteries of the Cosmos, a fascination nurtured by science communicators like Carl Sagan, Bill Nye, and Neil deGrasse Tyson. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Hawaii and, outside of work, enjoys experimenting in the kitchen.

Sandra joined The Planetary Society team at the beginning of 2022 as a Membership Services Associate. She now serves as the Senior Manager of Development Operations, overseeing the Gift Processing and Membership Team. Having been inspired by our core values, she feels lucky to be a part of a team that is empowering the world’s citizens to advance space science and exploration.
